A piece for a cabinet is not printing out on a report.

What did I just change in the cut list?

Did I just modify a report?

Is this just one cabinet? Or is it all of my cabinets?

If you know you just edited something in your cut list related to this piece, then you should first look there. You may have made a typo of either adding an extra decimal point or you might not have put one in at all or you may have typed in a fraction when you should have typed in a decimal.

If you have recently edited a report or the name of the missing piece then you should first take a look at the screen report. If the piece appears on the screen report and not on the printed report then there is a problem with the filters inside the report.

If this is just one cabinet you should start looking at the drawing screen. You may find there is a unique situation causing this piece to go missing. For instance, this cabinet may be on an island wall with a back panel on the back side of the island wall. You may have backs turned off for this situation.

When I calculate my parts I get an error message stating In File - C:\KCD\STDPLIST\My Frame\Box-Top-Sides.prt #1.125, H-(0), (0=YES) : ¾ Finish Ply:  ¾ Finish Ply,  , 30, 0, Finish Left Side, 0

Can’t be found. It may be a TYPO and Should be corrected.

What was the last thing I changed in the cut list?

Have I gotten this error message before?

What might be different about this job? Is there a new unit I haven’t drawn before on the screen?

When reading the error message you might want to look for key words to point you in the right direction. For the example given, I would start by looking in the files related to the wall or upper cabinets. I would do this because the file name Box-Top-Sides.prt sounds like it might have something to with the upper cabinet sides. What happened in this case is I left the ‘#’ in the answer box when answering the question about the side depth. I typed in #1.125. #1.125 is not a valid answer, 1.125 is a valid answer though.

Parts are not coming out the correct size.

What did I just change in my cut list?

Am I sure the cabinet is drawn correctly on the screen?

The first place you need to look for part sizes coming incorrect is the drawing screen. First look at the cabinet in the drawing screen and make sure the sizes are what they should be. If you are having trouble with the size of the drawer box, take note of the drawer front height, the drawer opening height and width on the screen. You should then calculate the sizes of the pieces which are coming out incorrect by hand.
